Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology
Summary The Biology Department at Washington & Jefferson (W&J) College invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in computational biology starting in Fall 2022. We are seeking a computational biologist with significant experience with one or more programming languages (e.g. Perl, Python, Java) and statistical environments (e.g. R or Matlab). The candidate should understand life sciences in the era of "big data" and have an interest in helping undergraduate students understand and use computational methods in their courses. The candidate is expected to teach courses such as bioinformatics, genomics, and biological modeling, teach foundational biology courses, as well as other courses based on their area of expertise.
