Purpose of Position: The plant accountant provides for the prompt and accurate closeout processing of utility work orders; maintains efficient and accurate work order and plant accounting records and provides assistance in analyzing work order costs as related to construction and estimation of expenditures. Responsible for monthly close and reconciliation of inventory, fixed assets and transportation. Supports operations and engineering in work plan, budget preparation, and analysis and provides reporting during the year. Manages the cycle inventory process. Responds to damage claims against the cooperative and files claims with Federated when appropriate. Core Competencies:
