Assistant Professor of Rhetoric & Composition
Wells College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Rhetoric & Composition with experience in first-year writing program design and administration, to begin in the fall of 2023. We desire a colleague with current fluency in dynamic approaches to first-year writing pedagogy in the shifting landscape of higher education. A Ph.D. in Rhetoric & Composition or a related field is preferred by the time of appointment. The qualified candidate will teach a 3/3 load of both first-year writing courses and specialized courses in rhetorical studies, professional/technical writing, and/or other rhetoric-specific courses in service of our liberal arts curriculum–largely to be determined by the candidate’s area of expertise.
