Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History
The Art History department at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Global Contemporary Art History at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2026. We seek specialists in global contemporary art history whose teaching and research reflect transnational perspectives on art since 1945. The successful candidate will teach introductory courses such as ARTH-101 (early modern to present day), normally offered in the spring semester; upper-level electives such as ARTH-235 (Artists' Writings) and ARTH-296 (Global Contemporary Art); and other courses related to their areas of specialization. The teaching load for this position is five courses
